Sales Representative

Martek Supply – Burlington, ON – On Site

Base Salary plus Commission – Full-time, Permanent

Martek Supply is a Canadian owned and operated Landscape and Construction supply company. Located in Burlington, ON, Martek Supply has been serving the Golden Horseshoe, GTA and Southern Ontario for the past 30 years. Carrying products ranging from landscape lighting, outdoor audio/video, landscape edging, geotextiles, drainage products, hardscape products, pond supplies and artificial turf, our drive at Martek Supply is to deliver high quality products with top notch customer service.

We are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to help us grow and expand our Sales team. The individual will be responsible for growing our business geographically as well as expanding our sales in currently underdeveloped markets. The role will also help support the in-office team when needed. This opportunity is based out of our Burlington, ON office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sales activities – cold calls, introductions, customer meetings/visits, quoting, sales, product information
  • Conduct research to develop new business and to help penetrate new markets
  • Assist with marketing efforts, including travel for trade shows
  • Promote the best possible customer experience to grow customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Work with CRM – sales, pipeline, appointments, quotes
  • Submit thought-based sales and order forecasts
  • Promote and sell full line of products to new and dormant contractors, builders, general contractors, developers, designers and architects
  • Become immersed in both our stocking products and products around the industry to obtain both industry knowledge as well as make informed suggestions for future product SKUs
  • Regularly report sales pipeline and progress to management



  • Canadian citizenship or a valid work permit for employment in Canada
  • 3-5 years sales experience with a proven track record of outside sales
  • Exceptional people and communication skills
  • B2B sales experience
  • Valid driver’s license with own vehicle
  • University degree/College Diploma or commensurate work experience
  • Construction industry experience preferred
  • Landscape industry experience a plus
  • Familiarity with Zoho CRM or similar suite preferred

  • Excellent in communication with all departments within company
  • Demonstrate a record of long-term commitment
  • Able to match a good technical approach and a strong relational attitude
